I was planning on not even posting today since I will most likely be very busy today but I decided to just post early in the morning, so todays post will be a bit short, but it's better then nothing I suppose. This is not a top 3 list, meaning that it is not in any order of preference, I may even do a "3 MORE Games That Have Withstood the Test of Time" post eventually.
1. Halo 2 (Xbox)
I know, this one isn't really that old and most people play Halo 3, and will then move on to Halo Reach, but the other day me and my friend played Halo 2, and it was like so awesome. I had completely forgotten about the vehicles and several other featres that they took out in Halo 3 that were in the previous game. I am pretty sure that plenty of people still play the game and so it won't be so hard to find an online match, but the matchmaking system was a bit complicated when we tried, we were used to the Halo 3 matchmaking system that was so dumbed down that even a 3 year old could play... and maybe that's why there are so many little kids playing. Anyway, if you miss the good old vehicles they took out, or perhaps dual weilding needlers, then give Halo 2 a try again, you won't regret it since so many others still play it too.
2. Super Mario Bros. (NES)
This one is obvious, I mean this game is so common that the first level has been copied and pasted in almost every platformer ever, there were so many copies sold, I found mine in a book store, literally just in between a bunch of books, they were just selling Super Mario Bros. for the NES because they had a ton of them. I not only have the game with Duck Hunt, but thanks to my uncle I have it with Duck Hunt and World Class Track Meet. I seriously can't plug in my NES without popping this game in and playing for just a bit. This game is so well known that your parents probably remember it if you weren't around for the NES days like me.
3. Tetris (Like EVERY console)
Tetris may be a game for casual gamers... mostly... but like most puzzle games of it's kind, it is extremely simple but at the same time very addicting. Even though modern casual gaming companies *cough* PopCap *cough* seem to make the game even easier and therfor less enjoyable for people like me (I don't need to be able to "save a block" for later goddammit) it's still nice to pop in an old version like the one for my original Gameboy or for the NES. Even though I like Tetris I don't think it's something I will play when I am in a serious gaming mood, it's good for when I need a distraction while I'm in a long car drive or when I am waiting for something and need to play a game that will make me forget about time entirely but I can put down whenever I want. I mean, when I need to wait for something that will happen in several hours then maybe I'll just play Saints Row 2 or something, but when I need to wait like half an hour or so then Tetris is perfect because I won't get that tired of it and I won't need to stop to save or anything.

Xbox 360 Elite Bundle (ODST & Forza 3) First Impressions
Ok to start off, this first impressions post will not include my thoughts on the ODST campaign mode, or anything on the Campain disk since I kind of have no plans to play it anytime soon. Once I get my gold membership I will play alot more of the mythic disk, but for now I will just play forge on it. Oh right, for those of you who have no idea what the mythic disk is, it's basically the multiplayer of Halo 3 with all of the maps (including my favorite, Sand Box). Anyway, since Costco and Sam's Club no longer carry systems besides the freakin DSi, I got mine at Best Buy, and yes I know Gamestop was giving out a $50 gift card for buying this bundle, but thanks to our Best Buy Rewards card, we got a $50 gift card for Best Buy when we bought the bundle, so we would have gotten the gift card either way. Oh, and since I won't be talking much about ODST, let me just try Forza out for like 5 minutes... hold up I'll be right back... Well, my first complaint would be that you can't skip the announcer while he goes on and on and on about how this game is like the most amazingly high tech thing in the world... The loading took quite a while, then I actually race and... meh, it was pretty standard, nothing to make it stick out, then I tried out the rewind feature which seemed pretty cool, but then after I rewind a bit, I accidentally pressed the "B" button and then I was just... somewhere else in the race track so I decided to resume from there, but that resulted in me crashing into a wall, falling into last place, and staying there swirling in a circle for about a full minute... Yup, I'm done with this game. Oh, and if it helps the game at all, then I guess the music was pretty good... and if you like Forza 3 then don't even take my opinion seriously since racing games are not exactly my cup of tea, and the only racing series I like to play is burnout, and that's only because of the exploding and crashing mechanics. Anyway, every Xbox 360 also comes with Hexic HD, a fun little puzzle game that is so addicting it made me forget how long I had been playing it. I almost forgot to mention the Xbox avatars, since I could make mine look tall, skinny, tan, and insomnic just like me, I think the avatars are a thumbs up. I did have some issues making my account, but I heard that was because of Xbox Live and not MY Xbox, so I just made an account online at Xbox.com. Anyway, I am really happy with my bundle, especially since it came with a headset for when I can finally afford a Gold membership, and thanks to the fact that I used to borrow my brother's Xbox, I already had games like Grand Theft Auto IV, Devil May Cry 4, and Naruto: Rise of a Ninja, but I also got Naruto: The Broken Bond at my local Gamestop, however I am saving that for when I beat Rise of a Ninja. Anyway, thanks to this, now I can review Xbox 360 games, original Xbox games, and Xbox Arcade games, so look forward to those reviews in the future.

Top 5 Co-Op games
Ahhh! this post was a little late (I still got it on the right day but I usually have blogger post these things at 5 AM).
5. Ape Escape Pumped and Primed (PS2)
Well to start off, not too many people liked this game, I don't know why since me and my friend thought it was amazing. It's not all of the platforming gold Sony has brought to us over the years in the Ape Escape series it's more of a... ehhhh... party game... kinda... you see basically the story is that Spike and the others join a tournament in a virtual world (which explains why Casi can compete) and so the tournament consists of little challenges like collecting the most coins before the time runs out, or a boat race, or even tank battles and obstacle courses. But the best part is being able to customize your characters with new costumes, summons, special gadgets. How do you unlock all of the costumes, summons, and special gadgets you ask? Well by getting certain scores or beating levels within a time limit, how can you unlock things for more than one character faster and funner? With a friend of course, because the co-op in this game is great and the bosses are awesome too, oh did I mention the AMAZING CELL SHADED GRAPHICS? Well if I didn't then this game has such good cell shaded graphics during the cutscenes you might think your playing a ps3 game for a second.
4. Splinter Cell (uhh whatever platform)
I'm gonna make this short and say most Splinter Cell games are great, I say MOST because I absolutely hated double agent, if you want a good Splinter Cell game just get Pandora Tomorrow or Chaos Theory. Oh and if you don't know how fun Co-op in these games can be just go watch Splinter Cell co-op theatre and you'll know.
3. Nazi Zombies
Well Call of Duty World at War had great multiplayer but to be honest the story mode just pissed me off to the point in which I just wanted to stop playing and just started watching TV again, but Nazi Zombies is in my opinion the highlight of the game because instead of killing each other your teaming up to kill zombies, and come on, who doesn't want to shoot a zombie with an alien blaster or a wonderweiff (did I spell that right?). The game is great because it feels more like a separate game instead of just a mini-game, and you realise your progress of how you get better each time (Now that I can open the Pack-A-Punch machine with my friend in Der Riess I bet we can kick a$$ in Shi No Numa). Overall the game is great and whoever you are playing with will have a blast, especially if they like old style survival horror/defend the castle kind of game.

Ok, ok, ok, I know if I put Halo 3 as number 2 on my list then people will get mad and I will probably get a whole bunch of hate mail so just hear me out, Halo 3 would be higher on a list of good MULTIPLAYER games, because honestly my number 1 pick is better for co-op(sorry Halo). However I must admit when I was one of the first kids in my school to get Halo 3 I remember having a blast playing co-op with my friend. Usually Halo just aggravates me because everyone seems to know every map by heart so when the game begins and I have an assault rifle everyone else has the spartan laser and the gravity hammer inside of a scorpion, but playing the game cooperatively was awesome because instead of trying to kill each other we were killing giant scarab tanks and sticking aliens with plasma grenades instead of sticking each other with plasma grenades.

Oh man I LOVE this game and could not recommend it more for ps3 owners especially because of the new game of the year edition. This game is great and defiantly lots of fun for pretty much anyone, because this isn't just some stupid kids game, it's really fun no matter how old you are. The best part about this game is that if you can play your ps3 games online then beating story mode doesn't come close to meaning you don't have new levels to try, once you and your friends beat story mode you can play levels that other people made online and even make your own levels to share them with other people. Basically when people ask what you can do in Little Big Planet just respond with "anything" because most likely it is true.
