Swap Meet Finds!

Well, I am writitng (or typing or whatever) this on Valentines day and obviously I am the type of person who girls are repulsed by (just kidding... or now wait... I'm not...) so Valentines day is just like any other day for me except this year I have to do alot of cleaning on Valentines day so that means alot of work, meaning that I need to make today's post a little short, sorry, but I am also working on a special new project so... I'm kinda busy... so let me just make today's post sort of a story of what I found at the Swap Meet on Saturday.

Ok so very often I just pick a weekend that I have alot of money and go to the Swap Meet to see what cool gaming related stuff I can find, and wow... this week I got REALLY lucky. Ok so I got 4 items from the Swap Meet, two games and two controllers. I got the original Super Smash Bros for $25, which I hope was a good deal since that booth looked like one of the booths that was trying to scam me... Then at a cell phone booth (yes a booth that they were selling cell phones at) something caught my eye, Tetris on the original gameboy in a little case, I had some trouble asking for it since none of the people there spoke English, but after several minutes of pointing and saying "No that one in the back, Tetris" I finally got my hands on it for like 7 or 8 dollars. Oh and about the two controllers, one of them I actually bought in the same place as the original Super Smash Bros, it was an NES MAX controller, I don't know if the D-pad is broken or if that red thing in the middle is supposed to sort of slide around, but who cares now I have a controller with Turbo. And the second controller was what made the whole trip worth while, I stumbled upon a second stand devoted to just video games and saw... the Hori (SNES modeled) Gameboy Player Digital Controller for the Gamecube, one of the rarest controllers ever, I mean the cheapest one on Amazon right now is $99.99, seriously go check, I think it's still there, and so with my arms and legs shivering like crazy and my heart pounding from finally finding it, I ask how much, and they responded with "28 dollars", I practically crapped my pants, $28 for the black Japanese version of it, the R button is a little bit stuck but it's pretty much fixed if u press it once or twice, oh man was I glad I got that controller, I mean they even knew what they were doing they asked me if I was a real gamer and not just a collector and I of course responded with gamer and the guy laughed and said "yeah, only a real gamer could appretiate this controller", so when I got home and tested everything I decided to play Viewtiful Joe with the controller and it was amazing, if I have any viewers at all, I strictly urge you to try and find this controller because it is just awesome for gba and classic Gameboy games.

DBZ Raging Blast!!!

Well since I had Wednesday off I spent most of the day playing DBZ Raging Blast, the best game to come out on the date of November 10th... just kidding Modern Warfare fans I'm just not much of an FPS gamer. Anyway I quickly got used to the controls but I just wish that you didn't activate the specials with the right analog stick since it seems that I have to flick it twice or sometimes 5 times to just use a special and you have no idea how many times I used Kaioken instead of Kamehameha and that made me lose so many times. But besides that the graphics look just like the anime, infact they look so much like the anime it confuses me why Namco Bandai, the same company that made Naruto Ultimate Ninja Storm couldn't make Storm look like Raging Blast... Also the inclusion of SSJ3 Broly and SSJ3 Vegita is pretty cool even though I haven't played as them yet. Instead of Tenkaichi 3's story mode where there is like 3 or 4 missions per saga but there are like several battles built into each of them there is one mission per battle in each saga but I take that as a good thing because it means more fun loading screens. Oh and the loading screen is brilliant, you collect little capsules and you eventually use them for something, I think to buy custimization stuff, but I'm not sure, and since you are collecting stuff you are completely focused on getting more capsules and so you sort of want the loading screen to be longer, it does a great job of keeping you intertained while it loads. Hmmm... what else is there to talk about... Oh, the stages look awesome and the fighting is nice and fast like any other good DBZ game... and uhh... I guess that's it...

Well remember I post every other day, oh and DBZ fans I highly recomend this game, it may not have the roster of Tenkaichi 3 but it is still awesome.

Eureka Seven Movie Review

Well I will not be reading this weeks weekly jump for... reasons, reasons I will explain next week. So instead of that I decided to review the Eureka Seven Movie since I went to go see it on Thursday in theatres. So let's start up this review.

Ok I will admit my friend got into the theatre right about the time the movie started and he was thinking the exact same thing I was... "Did I miss something?" well no we didn't miss anything, it is simply a retelling of the story... kind of. Well think of it as an alternate universe, there. An alernate universe where Humanity's greatest enemy is called Nazo, Eureka and Renton grew up together, Nirvash is a pokem... I mean uhhh larva... or whatever they called him that can transform into a mech and their teacher is Dominic oh yeah and Holland can rip people's souls out, that is exactly as hardcore as you think it is if not more. Explaining the rest of the story would take waaaay to long and would spoil a lot for this great movie. So let me try to review this movie without giving you too many spoilers... Well, Eureka gets taken by the military and renton spends the next like 8 years trying to join the military to get her back... I think, and when he does the bitch is so wishy washy and she goes on about how worthless she is until Renton takes her back to only realize later that his crew (you knew them as Gekkostate in the anime) is now rebels of the military, after kicking some military ass he decides to join them instead of attempt to escape again. I am not going to say who but one or two of the crew members die after deserving it in such an awesome way that the crowd in the theatre actually clapped. Well since the Nazo are pretty much infesting the Earth they fire this weapon called the Hammer of God which destroys the Earth along with the Nazo while a select group of humans stay in a space station, I will not say the actual outcome of the blast because that would be major spoiler, anyway I will say this, there was a bit too much Eureka fanservice... like the scene at the end where she was naked and the scene where she was looking in the mirror but she wasn't exactly fully clothed didn't feel needed at all. The special featres at the end of the movie were great, especially the bloopers, if this comes out on dvd which I REALLY hope it does soon, I definatly recomend it.
